Finding your ideal home.

To find your ideal home, you may want to first begin with a realistic budget based on your income, potential neighborhoods and the amenties you need. You should also consider the home's property style, prioritize your family's needs, consider your future plans, and work with a real estate agent to find listings that match this criteria. List your "must-haves"... are you at all flexible and willing to compromise on certain aspects to find the best fit within your budget and your top desired location.
Next, determine those ameneties and fixtures you want and need from home. It is important to recognize that while many homes may appear similar, each one possesses distinct characteristics.
Keep your “must haves” in mind… do you need to be within a15 or 30-minute drive of your job or have at least three or five bedrooms, but you don't need to have a huge lot or an updated kitchen? If it’s not essential to your quality of life, then you may want to place it in the “want” column.
Think about things you can't change. You can't pick up the house and put it in a different neighborhood. It's also hard to modify the home's structure. Don't look at a modern-built home if you rather have a historic bungalow.
Lastly, consider the overall space. Even if it's not 100% perfect as it sits, is there enough space to transform the home you will view into your ideal home creating the spaces you really need?
Finally, think about if you can narrow down your needs and wants before you start touring homes helps you create more accurate search criteria and can save you more time by focusing most on viewing homes you have determined that you will most likely love
